To promote collaboration among New York University alumni and showcase their talent to the industry at large, the Tisch West Alumni Council and Writers Lab West created the Web Series Showcase.

Avi Glijansky '03 (BFA, Kanbar, F&TV)

Avi received his B.F.A in Film and Television from Tisch School of the Arts in 2003. He is the director of several short films including the award-winning "Ocean City", and the recent Beverly Hills Shorts Film Festival Selection "Ofelia and Joe". Avi was also one of the top 15 directors considered by author Jonathan Lethem when he held a contest to give away the option to his novel You Don't Love Me Yet.

From 2007 through 2009, Avi worked as a production and development executive at Upload Films, and went on to direct his first feature, the neo-noir thriller Without Recoil (now in post-production) for the company.
